魁膾（上苦瓌反孔注尚書云魁帥也廣雅主也鄭注禮記云首也史記云壯大也從斗鬼聲下瓌外反廣雅膾割也案魁膾者屠殺兇惡之帥也從肉會聲也）。

Chief executioner (魁膾: the upper character has the fanqie *kǔ* + *guī* [kuí]; Kong Anguo's commentary on the *Shangshu* says, "*Kuí* means leader." The *Guangya* says, "Master." Zheng Xuan's commentary on the *Liji* says, "Head." The *Shiji* says, "Burly and large." It is categorized under "dipper" with *guǐ* phonetic. The lower character has the fanqie *guī* + *wài* [kuài]; the *Guangya* says, "*Kuài* means to carve up." Note: A *kuíkuài* is a chief who slaughters with malicious cruelty; it is categorized under "flesh" with *huì* phonetic).
