欠陷（上去劒反說文云少也下戶𪛏反𪛏於陷反玉篇入也切韻潰沒也又墮也說文云作臽小坑也從人在臼音舊）。

欠陷 [Lacking and sinking]: The upper [character] has the fanqie 去劒 (qù + jiàn = qiàn); the Shuowen says, “To be lacking.” The lower [character] has the fanqie 戶𪛏 (hù + xiàn = xiàn), where 𪛏 is 于陷 (yú + xiàn = yàn); the Yupian says, “To enter.” The Qieyun says, “To collapse and submerge; also to fall.” The Shuowen writes it as 臽, a small pit; it derives from 人 inside 臼 (sounded as 舊).
