談話（上徒含反切韻言論也又戲調也說文云語也從言炎聲也下胡快反玉篇語話也說文云合會善言也詩云慎爾出話從言舌即會意字）。

Chatting and conversing (談話: the first character is [pronounced with the] fanqie [initial and final of] 徒 and 含; the Qieyun says it means discourse, or joking and bantering; the Shuowen says it means speech; it takes the 'speech' radical and the phonetic 'yán'. The second character is [pronounced with the] fanqie [initial and final of] 胡 and 快; the Yupian says it means conversation; the Shuowen says it means meeting together and good words; the Classic of Poetry says 'Be cautious in uttering your words'; it takes 'speech' and 'tongue', being an associative compound).
