糠穢（上苦崗反玉篇云米皮也又作穅字亦同說文云穀皮也從禾康聲下於廢反切韻云惡也字書云雜穢也顧野王云不潔也又作薉音訓皆同也）。

Chaff and filth (糠穢: the first character is [pronounced with the] fanqie [initial and final of] 苦 and 崗; the Yupian says it is the skin of rice; it is also written as 穅, the character being identical; the Shuowen says it is the husk of grain; it takes the 'grain' radical and the phonetic 'kāng'. The second character is [pronounced with the] fanqie [initial and final of] 於 and 廢; the Qieyun says it means bad; character dictionaries say mixed filth; Gu Yewang says impure; it is also written as 薉, with identical pronunciation and gloss).
