牸豺（上疾吏反切韻牛牝也玉篇母牛也下士諧反爾雅云豺狗足郭注云脚似狗禮記云豺乃祭獸也從豸才聲豸文尒反）。

牸豺 (Female wolf or jackal: for the first character, fanqie 疾吏 [zì], the Qieyun says: 'A female ox.' The Yupian says: 'A mother ox.' For the second character, fanqie 士諧 [chái], the Erya says: 'The jackal has dog feet.' Guo's commentary says: 'Its paws resemble a dog's.' The Liji says: 'The jackal then makes an offering of animals.' It is formed from 豸 with 才 phonetic. 豸 is fanqie 文尒 [wén].)
