【阿梨耶】此云鴟，亦作鵄，同充尸切。《爾雅》云：「狂，茅鴟。」舍人曰：「狂，一名茅鴟。喜食鼠，大目也。」郭璞云：「今鳩（胡官）鴟也，似鷹而白。」

【Ārya】 This translates as kite, also written 鵄, both pronounced chōng-shī. The Erya says: "The kuáng is the máochī [grass kite]." Sheren says: "The kuáng is another name for the máochī. It likes to eat mice and has large eyes." Guo Pu says: "This is the modern jiūchī; it resembles a hawk and is white."
