【曳（移結）瑟知林】《西域記》：「唐言杖林。其林脩勁，被滿山谷。先有婆羅門，聞釋迦佛身長丈六，常懷疑惑，未之信也。乃以丈六竹杖，欲量佛身。恒於丈端，出過丈六，如是增高，莫能窮實，遂投杖而去，因植根焉。」

[Yaṣṭivana]: The *Records of the Western Regions* states: 'In the language of the Tang, Staff Forest. The trees of this forest are tall and sturdy, covering the hills and valleys. Formerly there was a brāhmaṇa who, hearing that the Buddha Śākyamuni was sixteen feet tall, constantly harbored doubts and did not believe it. Thereupon, taking a sixteen-foot bamboo staff, he wished to measure the Buddha's body. Always at the top of the staff, it exceeded sixteen feet. Growing taller like this, he could never reach its limit; he then cast away the staff and left, whereupon it took root.'
