【矩奢褐羅補羅城】《西域記》云：「唐言上茅宮城，多出勝上吉祥香茅。摩竭陀國之正中，古先君王之所都。」

[Kuśāgrapura City] The *Xiyu ji* says: “In the language of the Tang it is called City of the Superior Kuśa Palace. It produces much superior, auspicious, fragrant *kuśa* grass. It is in the exact center of the country of Magadha, and was the capital of the sovereigns of antiquity.”
