【鉢羅笈菩提】《淨名疏》云：「此云安明。」垂裕云：「入水最深，故名安；出諸山上，故曰明。」《西域記》云：「唐言前正覺山，如來將證正覺，先登此山。」

[Prāgbodhi] The Commentary on Vimalakīrti says: 'Translated here as Calm and Bright.' Chuiyu says: 'Descending deepest into the water, it is called calm; rising above all mountains, it is called bright.' The Record of the Western Regions says: 'In the Tang language it is called the Mountain of Pre-Enlightenment, for the Tathāgata, when about to realize perfect enlightenment, first climbed this mountain.'
