五、喻露者，《大戴禮》云：「露，陰陽之氣也。夫陰氣勝，則凝為霜雪。陽氣勝，則散雨露。」朝陽纔照，薤露即晞，人生處世，奄忽何期？

Fifth, the metaphor of dew: the Dadai Li says: "Dew is the qi of yin and yang. When yin qi predominates, it congeals into frost and snow; when yang qi predominates, it disperses into rain and dew." As soon as the morning sun shines, the dew on the shallots dries up; for human beings living in the world, what permanence can be expected in such fleeting transience?
