【迦師】後堂云：「唐言錯麥。」慈和云：「北人呼為燕麥，南人呼為雀麥。《南泉抄》以錯麥為大麥，《十誦》指迦師為小麥飯，《事鈔》錯麥與迦師一物也。」

【Kāśa】 Houtang states: "In the language of Tang, it is called cuomai (mixed/broken wheat)." Cihe states: "Northerners call it oats (yanmai); southerners call it wild oats (quomai). The Nanquan Chao takes cuomai to be barley; the Daśabhāṇavāra-vinaya points to kāśa as wheat meal; in the Shishi Chao, cuomai and kāśa are one and the same thing."
