The above one hundred and ninety-five scriptures are all retranslations: some are separate translations of complete texts, while others are distinct translations of excerpted chapters. However, as generations change and customs shift, unadorned and ornate styles have alternated in succession; and since there are no Sanskrit manuscripts available for collation, it is natural and fitting that all be included in the definitive catalogue.
