The above three hundred and seven works, in three hundred and forty fascicles (only the first nine works in nine fascicles are extant; all the rest are lost), are sūtras of anonymous translation newly collected in the catalogue by the Liang-dynasty śramaṇa Sengyou. In Sengyou's original catalogue, what You newly collected totaled one thousand three hundred and six works in one thousand five hundred and seventy fascicles. Now, upon a meticulous investigation, the remaining nine hundred and ninety-nine works in one thousand two hundred and thirty fascicles are mostly various extracted texts, or are already recorded in the anonymous translation catalogues of Fei Changfang and others, or have their translators identified in catalogues of particular dynasties. Beyond these, there are three hundred and seven works in three hundred and forty fascicles which, upon investigation, have never been recorded in the catalogues of Changfang and others. They are now newly collected here as having lost origins. However, You's catalogue merely states that they are anonymous translations without marking the dynasty or era. For now, they are appended to the end of the Song catalogue, in the hope of avoiding omissions.
