The Liang catalogue of Sengyou states: "The scriptures with lost translations in Master Dao'an's catalogue are recorded only in Sengyou's catalogue, and are completely omitted by Fei Zhangfang and others." Sengyou recorded a total of 142 scriptures with lost translations from Dao'an. Now, regarding the remaining eighty-seven works, an examination of the various catalogues shows that most of them name a translator, or are separate offshoot extracts, or are biographies and records compiled by people, and thus have an evidential basis; for this reason they have been expunged and are not recorded. Since Dao'an did not designate an era, they are now provisionally attached to the end of the Jin.
Together with the earlier three works in three fascicles with old lost translations, there are altogether fifty-eight works in fifty-nine fascicles, all identified as having lost origins under the Western Jin.
