"Good son! If a bodhisattva abides in the characteristics of dharmas, having the characteristic of a self, the characteristic of a person, or the views of a sentient being, then they abide in the world and are not a bodhisattva. Why is this? Because all dharmas are completely empty. If one attains immovability regarding all dharmas—neither arising nor ceasing, neither with marks nor without marks—one should not give rise to views. Why is this? All dharmas are Suchness. The Buddhas, the Dharma, and the Saṅgha are also Suchness. The very first thought-moment when noble wisdom appears before one is fully endowed with the eighty-four thousand pāramitās, and is named the Stage of Joy. When hindrances are exhausted and liberation is attained, carrying [beings] across is called the vehicle; when the marks of movement are extinguished, it is called the vajrasamādhi; when nature and characteristics are equal, it is called the sarvākārajñatā (omniscience)."
