"Those bodhisattvas of subduing patience nurture the Buddha-dharma;
Firm in the thirty minds, they are called non-retrogressing.
First realizing the nature of equality, they are born into the Buddhas' household;
Because of first attaining awakening, it is called the Joyous Ground.
Staying far away from defilement and various stains such as anger,
Endowed with pure virtues of precepts, it is called the Ground of Freedom from Defilement.
Extinguishing and destroying the darkness of ignorance, they attain the dhyāna concentrations;
Illuminating through the light of wisdom, it is called the Luminous Ground.
Purifying the branches of awakening, far removed from views of personal identity and extremes,
With wisdom blazing brightly, it is called the Radiant Ground.
Knowing the truths as they truly are, and all worldly arts,
Benefiting all kinds of living beings, it is called the Ground Difficult to Conquer.
Contemplating conditionally arisen phenomena, from ignorance to old age and death,
Able to realize that profound state, it is called the Manifest Ground.
Through samādhi of expedients, manifesting immeasurable bodies,
Skillfully responding to all living beings, it is called the Far-Reaching Ground.
Abiding in the ocean of signlessness, empowered by all Buddhas,
Sovereignly crushing Māra's hosts, it is called the Immovable Ground.
Attaining the four unimpeded knowledges, expounding all with a single voice,
All who hear it rejoice, so it is called the Ground of Good Intelligence.
Wisdom like a dense cloud pervades the Dharma realm,
Universally showering the amṛta-dharma, it is called the Dharma Cloud Ground.
Fulfilling the undefiled realm, eternally pure in the body of liberation,
Tranquil and inconceivable, it is called omniscience."
