[Sūtra:] "'Bhagavat, when the Tathāgata was with the Buddha Dīpaṅkara, in dharma he truly had nothing attained.'"

This is the second [part], the answer. Why Subhūti gave this answer is precisely to reveal that because the Tathāgata Dīpaṅkara had already realized the dharma of bodhi, being free from names and words, the Buddha was without the characteristic of teaching or showing; it also clarifies that Bodhisattva Śākyamuni had already ascended to the stage of receiving prediction, and having realized the unborn in that stage, he knew the grasping of neither hearing nor attaining. Hence it is said: "in dharma he truly had nothing attained."
