[Sūtra:] "Having thus caused measureless, innumerable, and boundless sentient beings to pass into extinction, in reality no sentient being has attained extinction:" The third section clarifies the permanence of mind. This bodhisattva has far abandoned discriminating views and perfected the compassion of identical substance. What is perfected by this compassion is established by wisdom; wisdom penetrates to a single conception, and compassion is without duality, so there is no weariness. Because of penetrating to a single conception, one is constantly in nirvāṇa oneself. Therefore the treatise says: "The bodhisattva takes all sentient beings to be like their own body. For this reason, the bodhisattva's own extinction does not differ from the extinction of sentient beings."
