佛　此四說經者。梵音云。具言佛馱。此翻為知者。大品云。知諸法實義故。大論云。菩提名智。佛名智者。是即解圓德備言誠物信也。

'The Buddha' — This is the fourth: the speaker of the scripture. In Sanskrit, fully stated as buddha; translated here as "Knower". The Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra states: "Because he knows the true meaning of all dharmas." The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states: "Bodhi is named wisdom; the Buddha is named the one who possesses wisdom." This means that his understanding is perfect, his virtues complete, his speech faithful, and beings believe him.'
