菩薩成佛時不諂眾生來生其國　此下舉果釋因。肇曰。化彼同已自土既成故令同行斯集。此明化緣相及故果報相連佛土之義顯也。自下因果相對。或前後異名。或前略後廣。或前因後果類同行耳。

"When the bodhisattva attains buddhahood, sentient beings who are not deceitful come to be born in his land." From here down, the fruit is adduced to explain the cause. Sengzhao says: "Having transformed them to be like oneself, once his own land is accomplished, he causes those of identical practice to gather there. This clarifies that because the conditions of transformation reach one another, the fruits of retribution are linked together, and the meaning of the buddha-land is made apparent. From here on, cause and fruit correspond: either they have different names earlier and later, or the earlier is brief and the later is extensive, or the earlier is cause and the later is fruit, running through identical practices."
