1.23

能師子吼名聞十方　二歎功成也。肇曰。師子吼無畏音也。凡所言說不畏群邪異學。喻師子吼。眾獸下之行滿天下故稱無不普。

“Able to roar the lion’s roar, their fame heard in the ten directions”: Second, praising the completion of their merit. Zhao says: “The lion’s roar is the fearless voice. Whatever they expound, they do not fear the multitude of heterodox and divergent teachings, which is likened to the lion’s roar before which all beasts submit. Their practice fills all under heaven, so their renown is universally heard.”
