欲度人故以善方便居毘耶離　此下第二歎迹化之德文三。初標益物處。次列三業益物。後結歎。初標可見。

"Wishing to liberate people, through good upāya he dwelt in Vaiśālī." From here on, the second part praises the virtue of his trace-manifested conversions; the text has three sections: first, designating the place for benefiting beings; second, listing the three karmic activities that benefit beings; third, a concluding praise. The first, the designation, is evident.
