目連白佛言。世尊我不堪任詣彼問疾　二辭也。文四如前。此初也。

"Maudgalyāyana addressed the Buddha, saying, 'World-Honoured One, I am not competent to go there and inquire after his illness.'" Second is the decline. The text has four parts as before; this is the first.
