1.325

所以者何。憶念我昔入毘耶大城。於里巷中為諸居士說法　此二不堪之由。此說小乘無常等法也。肇曰。當是說有為善法施戒之流也。

"'Why is this? I remember that in the past I entered the great city of Vaiśālī and expounded the Dharma for the householders in the lanes and alleys.'" This second [part] is the reason for his incompetence. This expounding was of the Hīnayāna teachings on impermanence and so forth. [Seng]zhao said: "It must have been expounding conditioned wholesome dharmas, such as giving and morality."
