富樓那此比丘久發大乘心。中忘此意。如何以小乘法而教道之。我觀小乘智慧微淺猶如盲。人不能分別一切眾生根之利鈍。此二富樓那下結過訶責也。肇曰。未得無生忍心皆有退忘。

"'Pūrṇa, these monks long ago generated the Mahayana mind, but midway they forgot this intention. Why do you instruct and guide them with the Hinayana Dharma? I observe that the wisdom of the Hinayana is subtle and shallow, like a blind person who cannot distinguish the sharp and dull faculties of all sentient beings.'" This is the second, from "Pūrṇa" down, concluding the fault and rebuking. Sengzhao says: Those who have not yet attained the forbearance of the non-arising of dharmas all have retrogression and forgetfulness of mind.
