"If it is unconditioned, then it is unconditioned [reality], and there should be no seeing." If a bodhisattva attains the true divine eye through the samādhi of the true mark, that which is seen in the ten directions is entirely unconditioned; there should not be the vision of discrimination. Sengzhao says: "If it is unconditioned, then it has the mark of the unconditioned dharmakāya; how could it admit words like seeing and hearing, near and far?" Tiantai says: "If the two vehicles attain the five superknowledges relying on the four dhyānas, then they are equal to the tīrthikas. If they contemplate the four truths, sever delusion, and attain the unconditioned [state] of analytical cessation, although this differs from tīrthikas, they have no seeing."
