維摩詰言。諸姊有法門。名無盡燈。汝等當學　四大士為說無盡燈法文三。此初標名勸也。肇曰。將遠流大法之明以照魔宮癡冥之室故說此門也。

Vimalakīrti said, "Sisters, there is a dharma gate called the 'inexhaustible lamp'; you should learn it." Fourth is the mahāsattva expounding the teaching of the inexhaustible lamp for them. The text has three [parts]. This first sets forth the name and encourages them. Zhao says: "Intending to make the light of the great Dharma flow far to illuminate the chamber of delusion and darkness in the māra's palace, he therefore expounded this gate."
