爾時天問舍利弗。何故去花　四問去花意　答曰　此法花不如法。是以去之　五答不如法。肇曰。香花著身非沙門法。是以去之。生曰。不如律法也。

At that time the deva asked Śāriputra: "For what reason do you remove the flowers?" The fourth [part] is asking the intention of removing the flowers. He replied: "These flowers are not in accordance with the Dharma; therefore I remove them." The fifth [part] is replying that it is not in accordance with the Dharma. Sengzhao says: "Fragrant flowers clinging to the body is not the dharma of a śramaṇa; therefore he removes them." [Dao]sheng says: "Not in accordance with the rules of the Vinaya."
