時維摩詰言。善來文殊師利。不來相而來。不見相而見　此三稱歎。什曰。讚言善者欲明賓來得會主亦虛受也。又相見者發彼菴薗故來覩。斯現疾故也。今見法身大士不殺也。故善。肇曰。將顯明法身大士。舉動進心不違實相。相不來以之而來。實相無見以之相見。不來而能來。不見而能見。若此何善如之。

"At that time Vimalakīrti said: 'Welcome, Mañjuśrī! Coming with the mark of not coming; seeing with the mark of not seeing'"—this is the third, praising. Kumārajīva says: "In praising him by saying 'welcome,' he wished to clarify that the guest's coming achieved the encounter and the host also received him vacantly. Moreover, as for their seeing one another, departing from that Āmra Grove, [Mañjuśrī] therefore came to behold this manifestation of illness. Now, seeing the dharmakāya mahāsattva does not bring about destruction; hence it is 'good'." Sengzhao says: "Intending to make manifest the dharmakāya mahāsattva, every movement and stir of mind does not contravene the true mark. Through the mark of non-coming he comes; through the true mark of non-seeing they see each other. Being able to come without coming, and being able to see without seeing—being like this, what could be better?"
