佛言。如是如是。阿難。或有佛土以佛光明而作佛事　此下二廣明佛事。肇曰。阿難見香飯所益。謂佛事理極於此。故廣示其事令悟佛道之無方也。此土眾生見佛妙光自入道檢亦有餘益。但以光為主。下類爾也。

The Buddha said: "So it is, so it is, Ānanda. There are Buddha-lands that perform Buddha-activities through the Buddha's radiance." / Below this, the second [part] extensively explains Buddha-activities. Zhao says: "Ānanda, seeing the benefits of the fragrant rice, thought the principle of Buddha-activities culminated in this; therefore, [the Buddha] extensively shows these activities to make him realize that the Buddha Way is without fixed direction. When sentient beings of this land see the Buddha's wondrous radiance, they naturally enter the discipline of the Way and obtain other benefits as well. But this takes light as primary; the following are analogous."
