白佛言。世尊。如來滅後我當行法供養守護正法。願以威神加哀建立。令我得降魔怨修菩薩行　三請加護也。肇曰。聞法供養欣欲行之。然經道深遠非己力所弘。故願加威神也。

"'And said to the Buddha: "World-Honoured One, after the Tathāgata's extinction, I shall practice the offering of Dharma and protect the true Dharma. May you, with spiritual power, compassionately support and establish me, so that I may subjugate demonic adversaries and cultivate the bodhisattva path."'" / Third is requesting empowerment and protection. / Sengzhao says: "Hearing of the offering of Dharma, he rejoiced and wished to practice it. Yet the way of the sūtra is deep and vast, not something his own power could propagate; therefore he prayed for spiritual power to support him."
