The Bodhisattva Samantagupta said, "Self and non-self constitute duality. Since even the self cannot be obtained, how could the non-self be obtained? One who sees the true nature of the self does not give rise to duality again. This is entering the dharma gate of non-duality."
Sengzhao says, "The non-self arises only in relation to the self. For one who sees the true nature of the self, the self is fundamentally non-existent; how much more so the non-self!"
