"Having repented, with body and mind unflagging, they should again chant and recite the Mahāyāna scriptures. Through the power of the Mahāyāna, a voice in the sky announces to them, saying: 'Child of the Dharma! You should now praise and explain the Mahāyāna before the Buddhas of the ten directions, and speak of your own faults before the Buddhas. The Buddhas and Tathāgatas are your compassionate fathers; you must speak of the unwholesome and evil karma created by your tongue faculty. This tongue faculty brings forth the marks of evil karma: false speech, frivolous speech, harsh speech, divisive speech, defamation, deceitful speech, praise of wrong views, uttering useless speech, and many such mixed evil karmas; instigating discord and disorder, declaring the Dharma to be non-Dharma... all such numerous sins are now repented before the Heroes of the World.'
