Fifth, explaining the points of defeat in debate is divided into three parts: 1. General identification; 2. Enumeration of names; 3. Detailed explanation, divided into three: [i] Explaining abandonment of speech, divided into five: (a) Brief identification, (b) Question, (c) Detailed answer, divided into thirteen as in the treatise, (d) Clarifying the meaning of defeat, (e) Conclusion; [ii] Explaining faltering speech, divided into six: (a) General identification, (b) Enumeration of names, (c) Detailed explanation, divided into thirteen as in the treatise, (d) Clarifying the meaning of defeat, (e) Clarifying the subsumed meaning, (f) Conclusion; [iii] Explaining faults of speech, divided into five: (a) General identification, (b) Question, (c) Enumeration of names, (d) Detailed explanation, divided into nine as in the treatise, (e) Conclusion.
