Among the eighteen, the tenth main topic, explaining what is accomplished by yoga to answer the tenth inquiry, has six parts: 1. general question; 2. brief answer; 3. questioning; 4. enumeration of names, divided into four as in the treatise; 5. separate explanations, divided into two:
1. Jointly explaining the cessation of the basis and the transformation of the basis has three parts: (1) general statement; (2) separate explanations, which have two [parts]: a. establishing the cause; b. showing the result, which has two [parts]: (a) explaining the result of the cessation of the basis; (b) explaining the result of the bondage of the basis; (3) general conclusion.
2. Jointly explaining the comprehensive knowledge of the focal object and delighting in the focal object has two parts: (1) general statement; (2) separate explanations, which have two [parts]: a. because they act as the cause for the cessation of the basis and the transformation of the basis, explaining the characteristics of the comprehensive knowledge of the focal object and delighting in the focal object, which has two [parts]: (a) establishing the cause; (b) showing the result; b. because the purity of the basis acts as the cause for the comprehensive knowledge of the focal object and so forth, explaining how these two phenomena—the comprehensive knowledge of the focal object and so forth—attain complete purification and the fulfillment of what is to be accomplished, which has three [parts]: (a) establishing the cause; (b) showing the result; (c) explaining the time of transformation;
Part 6 is the general conclusion.
