第五明食飲噉甞正知住五法門分四。一總標經句。二別問分五如論。三別答分五　一答食相分二。一總。二別　二答噉相分三。一問。二答分六如論。三結　三答甞相分三。一問。二答分十二如論。三結　四答飲相分三。一問。二答分六如論。三結　五答正知住相分二。一明正知義分二。一明正義分四。一依自性。二依處。三依時。四依行相明正知義。二結。二明正知勝利分二。一立因。二顯果分四同前　四總結。

Fifth, explaining the five dharmamukhas of acting with clear comprehension when eating, drinking, chewing, and tasting has four parts: 1. generally indicating the sūtra phrase; 2. specific questions, divided into five as in the treatise; 3. specific answers, divided into five: (1) answering the characteristic of eating, divided into two: i. general, ii. specific; (2) answering the characteristic of chewing, divided into three: i. question, ii. answer, divided into six as in the treatise, iii. conclusion; (3) answering the characteristic of tasting, divided into three: i. question, ii. answer, divided into twelve as in the treatise, iii. conclusion; (4) answering the characteristic of drinking, divided into three: i. question, ii. answer, divided into six as in the treatise, iii. conclusion; (5) answering the characteristic of acting with clear comprehension, divided into two: i. explaining the meaning of clear comprehension, divided into two: [i] explaining the correct meaning, divided into four: [a] based on svabhāva, [b] based on basis, [c] based on time, [d] based on ākāra explaining the meaning of clear comprehension; [ii] conclusion; ii. explaining the benefits of clear comprehension, divided into two: [i] establishing the cause, [ii] revealing the fruition, divided into four as before; 4. general conclusion.
