Sixth, explaining the nine dharmamukhas of walking, standing, and so forth has four parts: 1. generally indicating the sūtra phrase; 2. specific questions, divided into nine as in the treatise; 3. specific answers, divided into nine: (1) answering the characteristic of walking, divided into two: i. explaining the correct meaning, ii. conclusion; (2) answering the characteristic of standing, divided into two: i. explaining the correct meaning, ii. conclusion; (3) answering the characteristic of sitting, divided into three: i. place, ii. characteristic, iii. conclusion; (4) answering the characteristic of lying down, divided into three: i. place, ii. characteristic, iii. conclusion; (5) answering the characteristic of waking up; (6) answering the characteristic of speaking, divided into three: i. indication, ii. explanation, iii. conclusion; (7) answering the characteristic of silence, divided into three: i. establishing the cause, ii. revealing the fruition, iii. conclusion; (8) answering the characteristic of relieving fatigue and sleepiness, divided into three: i. establishing the cause, ii. revealing the fruition, iii. conclusion; (9) answering acting with clear comprehension in the eight dharmas of walking and so forth, divided into two: i. explaining the characteristic of clear comprehension, divided into two: [i] explaining the correct meaning, divided into four as before, [ii] conclusion; ii. explaining the benefits of correct abiding, divided into two: [i] establishing the cause, [ii] revealing the fruition, divided into four: [a] based on svabhāva, and so forth, as before; 4. general conclusion.
