二別釋分四十四中第七依棄捨犯戒有情不作饒益明違犯法分四。一標犯學人。二列可悲人。三明犯相分二。一明有染犯分三。一立因。二顯果。三結。二明非染犯分三。一明正義。二徵。三答所以。四明無犯相分二。一總標。二別釋分四。一依狂亂明無犯。二依調伏明無犯。三依護多人意明無犯。四依護僧制明無犯。

Within the distinct explanations in forty-four [parts], the seventh, based on abandoning sentient beings who violate precepts and not benefiting them, explaining the matter of transgression, has four [subdivisions]: 1. indicating the person in training who commits the offense; 2. listing those deserving compassion; 3. explaining the characteristics of the offense, which has two [points]: (1) explaining the defiled offense, which has three [sub-aspects]: a. establishing the cause; b. showing the result; c. conclusion; (2) explaining the non-defiled offense, which has three [sub-aspects]: a. explaining the correct meaning; b. inquiry; c. answering the reason; 4. explaining the characteristics of non-offense, which has two [points]: (1) general statement; (2) distinct explanation, which has four [sub-aspects]: a. based on mental derangement, explaining non-offense; b. based on subduing, explaining non-offense; c. based on protecting the minds of many people, explaining non-offense; d. based on guarding the regulations of the Saṅgha, explaining non-offense.
