Within the distinct explanations in forty-four [parts], the tenth, based on the matter of wrong livelihood, explaining the transgression of the training precept, has three [subdivisions]: 1. indicating the person in training who commits the offense; 2. explaining the characteristics of the offense, which has three [points]: establishing the cause, showing the result, and conclusion; 3. explaining the characteristics of non-offense, which has two [points]: statement and explanation. Within the distinct explanations in forty-four [parts], the eleventh, based on the mind not being calm, establishing the training precept, has three [subdivisions]: 1. indicating the person in training who commits the offense; 2. explaining the characteristics of the offense, which has two [points]: (1) explaining the defiled offense, which has three [elements]: establishing the cause, showing the result, and conclusion; (2) explaining the non-defiled offense; 3. explaining the characteristics of non-offense, which has two [points]: (1) general statement; (2) distinct explanation, which has five [sub-aspects]: a. based on giving rise to the antidote, explaining non-offense; b. based on resolving another's resentment, explaining non-offense; c. based on dispelling another's sorrow, explaining non-offense; d. based on protecting another's mind, explaining non-offense; e. based on manifesting internal purity, explaining non-offense.
