Within the third [section], the extensive explanation in seventeen [parts], the twelfth, explaining the characteristics of the training rules of respect, has four parts: 1. explaining the source from which the three kinds of correct teachings on moral discipline arise, with three parts: (1) general presentation, (2) detailed explanation, (3) explaining the meaning of the synthesis; 2. explaining the exhortation to practice; 3. explaining the respect shown toward fellow students, with two parts: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit; 4. explaining the method for restoring purity.
