第四廣解分九中第四明一切門靜慮分三。一總問。二略答。三別釋分四。一依初靜慮滅憂根明一切門靜慮。二依第二靜慮滅苦根明一切門靜慮。三依第三靜慮滅意喜根明一切門靜慮。四依第四靜慮滅喜根明一切門靜慮。

Of the nine parts of Part 4, the detailed exposition, the fourth explains all-door dhyāna (*sarvamukha-dhyāna*), divided into three: 1. general question; 2. brief answer; 3. separate expositions, divided into four: (1) explaining *sarvamukha-dhyāna* in terms of the cessation of the mental faculty of grief (*daurmanasya-indriya*) in the first dhyāna; (2) explaining *sarvamukha-dhyāna* in terms of the cessation of the faculty of suffering (*duḥkha-indriya*) in the second dhyāna; (3) explaining *sarvamukha-dhyāna* in terms of the cessation of the mental faculty of joy (*saumanasya-indriya*) in the third dhyāna; (4) explaining *sarvamukha-dhyāna* in terms of the cessation of the faculty of physical pleasure (*sukha-indriya*) in the fourth dhyāna.
