Within the nine parts explaining affectionate speech in detail, the sixth, explaining all kinds of affectionate speech, is divided into four: 1. general question; 2. brief answer; 3. separate explanations; 4. general conclusion. The separate explanations are divided into two: 1) explaining the six kinds of all-inclusive affectionate speech, which is divided into two: (1) general presentation, (2) separate explanations, divided into six: i. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that makes [them] listen clearly; ii. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech of prohibition; iii. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that reveals the different approaches to dharmas; iv. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that reveals what is non-erroneous; v. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that glosses the words of dharmas; vi. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech concerning distinctions of non-erroneous doctrinal phrases; 2) explaining the seven kinds of all-inclusive affectionate speech, which is divided into two: (1) general presentation, (2) separate explanations, divided into seven: i. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on comforting affectionate speech; ii. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on gladdening affectionate speech; iii. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech of having few or minimal desires, divided into two as in the treatise; iv. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that consoles the terrified; v. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that proclaims what is proper; vi. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that removes unwholesome states, divided into two: (i) explaining the seeing of faults, (ii) explaining the method of removal; vii. explaining all kinds of affectionate speech based on affectionate speech that entreats others for benefit; 4. explaining the general conclusion.
