In the third main section, the detailed explanation in prose, which has sixteen [parts], the eighth explains the factors conducive to awakening based on the provisions for awakening, divided into five: 1. general inquiry, 2. brief answer, 3. enumeration of terms, divided into two as in the treatise, 4. pointing to the extensive text, 5. explaining differences in the characteristics of cultivation, divided into three: (1) explaining the inferior, (2) explaining the middling, (3) explaining the superior.
