分十四中第八依三界繫不繫明根差別分二。一總問分二如論。二廣答分六。一答四是欲界根二是欲界繫為義。二答三是欲界根欲色繫義。三答二是欲色繫及不繫根三界繫不繫為義。四答七是三界繫及不繫根。五答一是色界繫不繫根繫不繫為義。六答二是不繫根繫不繫為義。

Within the fourteen divisions, the eighth, clarifying the distinctions of the faculties based on bound or unbound by the three realms, has two parts: 1. General question, in two parts as in the treatise; 2. Detailed answer, in six parts: (1) answering that four are desire realm faculties and two have bound by the desire realm as their referent; (2) answering that three are desire realm faculties having bound by desire and form realms as their referents; (3) answering that two are faculties bound by desire and form realms and unbound, having bound by the three realms and unbound as their referents; (4) answering that seven are faculties bound by the three realms and unbound; (5) answering that one is a faculty bound by the form realm and unbound, having bound and unbound as its referents; (6) answering that two are unbound faculties, having bound and unbound as their referents.
