Under the seventeen divisions, the fifteenth [section], clarifying the distinctions among the bases of the faculties based on the arising of afflictions and karma and so forth, is divided into three: 1. clarifying the distinctions among the bases based on the basis of afflictions and karma, divided into two: (1) question, (2) answer; 2. clarifying the distinctions among the bases based on the karma that gives rise to afflictions, divided into two: (1) question, (2) answer; 3. clarifying the distinctions among the bases based on the karma that severs afflictions, divided into two: (1) question, (2) answer.
