一緣邪教所說蘊相等者。即諸小乘所執學教名為邪教。不順大乘唯識真如空無相故。彼教所說諸蘊皆實緣此邪教。犢子部等起自心相執有人我。若有部等起自心相執有法我。

"First, conditioning the marks of the aggregates taught by erroneous teachings, and so forth": That is, the teachings grasped and studied by the various Hīnayāna [schools] are called "erroneous teachings," because they do not conform to Mahāyāna vijñapti-mātra, tathatā, and markless emptiness. The aggregates taught in those teachings are all real; conditioning these erroneous teachings, the Vātsīputrīyas and others give rise to images of their own minds and grasp at the existence of a pudgala-ātman, while the Sarvāstivādins and others give rise to images of their own minds and grasp at the existence of a dharma-ātman.
