論。復次分別至有二種　述曰。上釋生滅因緣義竟。次下第二明生滅相。於中有三。初舉數總標。次列名略顯。後廣顯其相。此初也。所言分別生滅相者。即是辨明立義分中是心生滅相也。

Treatise: "Furthermore, distinguishing [the characteristics of arising and ceasing, there are two kinds]..."
Exposition: The explanation above of the principle of causes and conditions of arising and ceasing is now complete. Next, second, is the clarification of the characteristics of arising and ceasing. In this there are three parts: first, stating the number as a general indication; next, listing the names to briefly show them; and finally, elaborating extensively on their characteristics. This is the first part. What is called "distinguishing the characteristics of arising and ceasing" is clarifying what was established in the Section on Determining the Meaning as the characteristics of arising and ceasing of this mind.
