論。七者為示至退信心故　述曰。十信初心上品之人。懼於惡世不見佛故難成信行意無退者。為彼顯說生淨土文。專念諸佛為緣。方便令生佛前。不退信也。

[Treatise:] "Seventh, in order to show... regression of the mind of faith." / [Exposition:] People of the upper grade at the initial stage of the ten faiths fear not seeing the Buddha in an evil age, making it difficult to accomplish the practice of faith, but they have no wish to regress. For their sake, it clearly explains the passage on birth in the Pure Land, taking single-minded mindfulness of the Buddhas as an expedient condition to cause them to be born before the Buddhas without regressing in faith.
