釋曰。上明信心成就之行。下顯行成發心之相。於中有二。初正明發心。後問答釋疑。前中有二。初問起標數。後依標標相。此初也。妙行雖廣。三行統收總而顯之。故云略說。

Commentary: Above was clarified the practice of the perfection of faith; below is revealed the characteristics of resolving the mind once practice is completed. Therein are two parts: first, directly clarifying the resolution of the mind; later, questions and answers resolving doubts. In the first there are two parts: first, raising the question to state the number; later, characterizing the marks according to the stated [number]. This is the first. Although the wondrous practices are vast, the three practices comprehensively subsume them; showing them generally, it therefore says "briefly stated."
