論初說因緣分　述曰。次下第三依名辨相。別釋五分即分為五。初因緣中復分為二。初標舉分名。後別顯其義。此初也。言因緣者。是所以義。所為義。發起義。是因緣義。

[Treatise:] First, expounding the section on causes and conditions. [Commentary:] Next, the third part distinguishes the characteristics according to the names. To separately explain the five sections, it is divided into five. Within the first, [the section on] causes and conditions, it is again divided into two: first, stating and presenting the name of the section; later, separately clarifying its meaning. This is the first part. As for "causes and conditions", it has the meaning of reason, the meaning of purpose, and the meaning of initiation; these are the meanings of causes and conditions.
